What One Thing, If You Did It Today, Could Help You Reach Your Goals?

My husband has a Brian Tracy CD that we occasionally listen to while driving. There is a quote from this CD that we say to one another in the morning as we start our day. “What one thing, if you did it today, could help you reach your goal?”

I’ve been thinking a lot about that quote and how thinking about our future and acting on it today can help us all reach our intended goals and dreams. I honestly believe that we all can create our own future and that where we are today is a reflection of what we thought before and the choices we made because of those thoughts.

I saw a great clip from Zig Zigler which addressed this issue in regard to our weight. He was referring to when he was overweight and realized that he chose to be overweight. He made the decision. He chose what he was going to eat. He chose not to exercise. He made the choice to be fat and out of shape. When he decided he wanted to be healthy and fit, he chose to eat better. He chose to start making exercise a priority in his life and in the future, he was rewarded with a fit and healthy body.

Similar choices can be made regarding our relationships, our careers and our future. What do you want your future to look like? Are you fit and healthy? What choices can you make today that a year from now, you will be fit and healthy?

Do you want to be a millionaire? What choices can you make today and every day to help you on your journey?
The future is yours.

It’s your life, your journey, your choice.

What one thing, if you did it today, could help you reach your goals?

  1. I completely agree. Thanks for the post, it was the little inspiration I needed. I’ve been working out to stay healthy and was too lazy this morning to go to a spin class… looks like I’ll be going tonight! 🙂 That’s one thing I can do today to reach my goals!
    Have a great week.

  2. One resolution I have made, and try always to keep, is this — To rise above the little things.-John Burroughs
