Playing around and New Year’s Resolutions

I’m going to be playing around with my blog over the next few weeks.

I haven’t really hit the right balance of “me” yet.

You see, I love gossip. Whether it be Hollywood gossip or Washington gossip. I love to read about it, talk about it, think about it and write about it.

The problem is, when I was writing only about that, I had other things I wanted to write about too, like food, longevity, positive thinking, running, and a million other things. I try not to write about politics, because … well, my husband lives for politics, so I get political overload here at home.

Then, there’s my “real” writing. My books and screenplays that got shafted when I was concentrating on keeping up the blog. I’m still trying to figure out the best way to maneuver my life, so I can be a good mother and wife, keep fit, eat healthy (most of the time) and re-energize my once-promising writing career.

I try to fit in most of my “me” activities, like running and writing, while the kids are in school, so that when they get home, I can be a full-time mama!

They say your priorities are how you spend your time, so I’ll say God first, kids and husband second (because if your marriage goes south, then your kids will suffer for it), exercise (which for me means running), writing my novels and screenplays, then writing on my blog.

So, with that in mind, once the kids have gone to school, I’ve had my daily run and shower, I’ll work on my “real” writing projects until I meet my quota for the day. Once that’s done, I will write something on my blog.

It may be about exercise, or food, or longevity, or positive thinking, or God, or marriage or being a mom or my writing. Maybe all of it, I don’t know.

But I’ll be tooling around with this blog for a few weeks until I can get it the way I think I want it.

Happy New Year!
