Why Do Some People Succeed and Others Do Not?

Are you doing what you need to do to succeed?

Why do some people succeed and others do not?

I have been pondering that question ever since I listened to one of Darren Hardy’s Daily Darren videos. Why do some people succeed and others do not?

From what he said, it has to do with tenacity and follow-through. Think of all the people who set weight loss goals at the beginning of the year. They have great intentions and vow to eat healthy, exercise and finally lose that extra weight.

Yet, usually by March, they are still eating crap and not working out. Why?

They simply do not follow through with their plans. You can have the best plan in the world, but if you don’t take action on that plan, then you will get nowhere.

Everybody starts out great, but over time, their commitment to continue wanes. They choose comfort over success.

They choose the path of least resistance.

Think about anything you have tried in the past and ended up failing. Did you learn from your failure, adjust and keep going, or did you quit trying. Maybe you didn’t quit suddenly. Perhaps you just started giving it a little less effort, a little less time and a little less attention until you weren’t giving it any attention at all.

Last night I was on a business builder call with a leader in my organization. She spoke about how so many people spend their time getting everything ready to pull the trigger, but then never take action. They buy the books. They organize their desk. They research. But they never take action.

They are not committed to their success. This really hit home with me. I want to help other women live better lives, but other than building my business over the internet, I have not been taking consistent action on a daily basis to get to the next rank.

I vowed last night that was going to change. I’m going out today and every day for the next 90 days. My goal is to be ahead by 2 ranks by August 31.

I know others have been able to do it. I can do it too. I just need to be consistent, tenacious and actually do what I say I’m going to do.

I cannot use my children, time, money or anything else as an excuse. I will get this done.

I pray all of you find success in whatever endeavor you choose to pursue.

As in all things, pray about it, dream big, set goals, take action and don’t quit.

Have a blessed day.
