Why I’m Not Worried About Cold and Flu Season


You might get a chuckle out the above graphic, but I’m serious! I’m not running to the drug store and fetching those syrupy chemical bombs they sell you after you’ve already got the crud.


That was me two years ago. Now, I support my family’s immune system using plants!

Like most things, you’re going to want to make sure everyone keeps their hands clean all the time. For that job, I keep two things in my purse at all times. Thieves hand sanitizer and Thieves spray.


Another thing I keep on hand is Thieves foaming hand soap. I have one of these in every bathroom of our home and at our kitchen sink!


Another measure I take in supporting a healthy immune system is make sure we all get a 1 oz shot of Ningxia Red every day. I’m also using essential oils to help boost our immune systems too!

Something neat about these essential oils and to let you know how applying them to your feet works: The feet are the second fastest area of the body to absorb oils because of the large pores. Other quick absorbing areas include behind the ears and on the wrists. However, because oils like Cinnamon Bark and Oregano are very “hot” oils, I have found the best place to put them is on the bottoms of the feet.

I used to kind of wonder about this, until one day I was applying lemon essential oil to the bottom of my youngest son’s feet and about 2 minutes later, he said, “Mama! I can taste the lemon in my mouth!” Pretty cool right?

Of course, nothing is 100% effective. We are fallible and sometimes our kids don’t wash their hands, or someone sneezes in our face or some other unforeseen exposure happens. But I have found that since starting with these products a little over a year ago, my family rarely goes to the doctor anymore.

We use these holistic, natural products to keep our family’s immune system humming along nicely, just as God intended.
