Couch to 5K – Week Three
Hubby and I are now officially in Week 3 of the Couch to 5K program.
One thing I’ve noticed, and I’m not sure why this is, but the second day of each transitional week seems to be tougher than the initial change day. My husband has noted this as well.
I will say, though, that running for three minutes straight was pretty much unthinkable for me when we started this program, so I feel like I’m making progress. And, I’ve lost two pounds!
I’m still loving my shoes and have had zero problems (knock wood).
We are preparing to move this week, so my stress levels have been pretty high. The runs have been very beneficial in that area.
There is also another side effect: prior to starting this program, I was having hot flashes like crazy. I was miserable. I don’t think I’ve had one since starting this program, which is amazing! I guess exercise is a good remedy for anyone who might be experiencing those. At least it’s worked for me.
I’ll check in on the Couch to 5K next week with another update on my progress!
