Has Big Brother Gotten Too Big?

Has Big Brother gotten too big?

In one word — Yes!

Yesterday, I was informed of a letter the FDA sent to several essential oil companies. This letter was about compliance issues and wording regarding health and wellness issues.

When I post about the essential oils I use on my family, it is for information purposes only. I am not a medical professional, though I will admit to having many thoughts about getting a Naturopathic Doctorate degree from an accredited university. But as of now, I am just a mom who uses holistic methods when my family comes down with conditions most people would pop a pill for.

I think we, as a society, have become all too dependent on the “magic pill” philosophy. Got a problem? Big Pharma can fix it! They certainly have enough lobbyists working for them in Washington to ensure their products are on the shelf and your doctor’s office ready for your consumption.

A great film to watch is “Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead.” I watched this movie last week on Netflix and found its information amazing. People going off of drugs they’ve been on for years after juicing for their health.

Several years ago, I was diagnosed with high blood pressure. I started running, losing weight and eating a mostly vegetarian diet. And guess what? My blood pressure normalized and the doctor took me off of my high blood pressure medication.

Imagine that! Instead of relying on doctors to fix your health problems, you can use food! Or perhaps I should say, “Juice!” Will the FDA come down on the vegetable and fruit industry saying, “You can’t make claims that eating a healthy diet rich in fruits and vegetables will keep you healthy! Only drug companies can do that!”

Natural News had an amazing article on this. You can read it here.

Did you know the government has issued a patent on Ebola? A PATENT!!!

If that doesn’t scare the heck out of you, I don’t know what will.

As a blogger and someone who uses and loves essential oils; however, if I have a personal testimonial that my husband has a diagnosed case of asthma and the oils helps him not have to use his inhaler as much, I have the right, as an American citizen to say that. If my family has had a diagnosis of strep from a medical professional and I choose to give them essential oils to battle that condition and it gets rid of it, I have the right to say that.

My husband had pink-eye a few weeks ago. I put drops of colloidal silver several times a day in his eyes and it went away. The pharmaceutical companies don’t want me to say that. They will demand the FDA crack down on my wording to the point I will have to say, “My husband’s visual orbs were in the color spectrum between white and red. I dropped colloidal silver in his visual orbs several times a day until they were no longer in the white to red color spectrum.”

Seriously.

There are alternative, holistic approaches to keeping your family in optimal health. Be wary of Big Government and lobbyists telling you otherwise.
