You Are Worthy

th 2

What does worthiness mean?

It means you deserve good things. You deserve happiness. You deserve all of the positive things life has to offer you.

Unfortunately, many people self-sabotage their own happiness and success with feelings of unworthiness. How many times, when something good happens, do you say, “This is too good to be true?”

That statement is your mind telling you that you are not worthy to have something that wonderful happen to you. If it’s something so special, you somehow, deep down, feel you don’t deserve it and it will be taken away because “it’s too good.”

In other words, you are waiting for the other shoe to fall.

Stop waiting for the shoe to fall. Stop self-sabotaging your own happiness.

Many times, our feelings of unworthiness comes from other people and how they have treated us. Whether that was a parent, or a teacher or a boss. While it is true that we cannot change other people, it is important that we look inward, to ourselves to correct our feelings of unworthiness. Feelings such as anger, jealousy, vindictiveness, inferiority can probably all go back to something that has happened to us in our lives that made us feel unworthy.

You should liberate yourself from those feelings. If someone is angry at you, do your best to maintain calm. If something good happens to someone else, be happy for them. If someone hurts you, forgive them and move on.

As for inferiority, I believe it was Eleanor Roosevelt who said, “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” Don’t consent. Be more of who God intended you to be.

God wants good things for you. He wants you to be happy.

You are worth everything good that comes into your life.
