Where Will You Be 10 Years From Now?

th 1

I guess a better question is, “Where do you want to be 10 years from now?”

Most people tend to think of the short term. The fact is, we live in a “now” society. We want our food, money, success NOW!

I believe many people never realize that huge success takes time. There are no “overnight successes.” When you look at someone described as an overnight success, you will almost always find that the overnight part actually took years of hard work with no recognition. It is when they are suddenly recognized for their accomplishments that people start saying they are overnight successes.

Real success is usually the result of little successes achieved over an extended period of time. Think of getting fit or losing weight. To expect to eat healthfully one day and suddenly find yourself go from 250 pounds to 115 pounds after just one day of eating healthy is unrealistic. However, if you start eating healthy and sustain that effort on a daily basis, you will discover, over time, that the weight will come off. However, it will not come off overnight.

Likewise, it is with continued effort that you will see success in your life and business.

Truly successful people think long-term. They take small actions every single day and build upon each new achievement as they work toward their goals. As they do so, they learn new things and better ways of achieving their desired outcomes.

You should regularly review your goals and assess your progress. Remember that a goal is little more than a wish unless there is a timetable for completion. Make sure you have short-, medium-, and long-term goals. Never be afraid to revise your goals as your circumstances change.

Check off each goal once it is completed and set even bigger goals for yourself as you grow.

Remember to always take the time to reflect to ensure you are on the right course for you so that 10 years from now, you will be exactly where you want to be.
