Weight Watchers Update – I’ve lost 14 pounds!

I may not be getting paid $4 million to endorse them like Jessica Simpson, but I can say that so far, Weight Watchers is working for me!

Even though my official weigh-in’s are on Sunday, I weigh myself in the mornings just to check my progress and as of this morning, I’ve officially lost 14 pounds! I started Weight Watchers on July 1 and between their Points Plus system and running 5 – 6 days a week the weight is coming off.

I am down to losing about 1.5 pounds a week whereas initially I was losing 2.5 pounds a week, but hey, a loss is a loss and I’ll take it!

If you want to lose weight healthfully and not feel like you’re deprived of your favorite foods, then this is the weight loss system you should try.

I will also once again recommend the Weight Watcher’s Vegetable Soup. I made another batch yesterday and I eat it for lunch every day. It’s very filling, gives my my veggie servings and only uses up 1 Weight Watchers point per serving. Sometimes I have a bowl about 30 minutes before dinner if I’m really feeling hungry.

Here’s what I put in there yesterday:

WEIGHT WATCHERS VEGETABLE SOUP

1 small package of baby carrots, chopped
1 onion, chopped
3 cloves of minced garlic
1 red pepper, chopped
1 package of broccoli florets
1 package of cauliflower florets (I pick up both the broccoli and cauliflower packages in the salad section of the grocer store – less chopping for me!)
2 small zuchinin, chopped
1 package of baby spinach
2 boxes of vegetable stock
4 stalks of celery, chopped
1 bunch of fresh parsley
3 lemons, juiced
salt and pepper to taste

I basically pour in the vegetable stock, start the heat on medium and start throwing everything into the pot as I chop it. Once it’s all in, I bring it to a boil, put a top on it and let it simmer about 40 minutes. It makes a huge pot that lasts me about a week!

Enjoy!
