How to Stop Snoring Naturally

Y’all … I can’t believe I’m admitting this.

I snore!

This is something that just started recently, but after several nights of my husband shaking my pillow to make me stop, not to mention me waking myself up with the snore, I have to come clean and admit that I have started snoring.

Oh, I didn’t admit to it at first. Oh no. I looked at my husband and with a straight face I totally blamed the snoring on the dog.

“It is NOT me! You’re hearing the dog snoring and blaming it on me!”

But I knew the truth and so did he. To say my husband is not happy with this new development is an understatement. He has to go to work Monday through Friday and needs his sleep.

The fact that I recently made the decision to start getting up at 4:30 every morning, doesn’t help the situation either, because when my alarm goes off at 4:30, it’s waking him up too.

That’s not a great thing when you’ve not had a good night’s sleep due to your wife snoring the night away.

So, like most things in life, I thought, “Is there an oil for this?”

And surprise! Surprise! Surprise!

There IS an oil for that. Really, several oils.

I started scrambling around in my oily cabinet. That’s where the motherload of my stash of oils are, though truthfully, I think you can find at least one bottle of oil in every room of our house.

This is what I came up with and after two successful nights of sleep with NO snoring (according to my husband), I’m pretty confident this combination works.

First, I put Thyme behind both of my big toes. I know … when you think Thyme, you think cooking. So did I, until someone suggested Thyme for this annoying problem, so I grabbed my bottle of Thyme essential oil and put a drop behind each toe.

Next, I grabbed a coveted bottle of Valor. Y’all, Valor is so hard to come by I keep it stockpiled and don’t let anyone near my stash. Seriously, this stuff is like the magical unicorn of essential oils in this house, so much so, I was cleaning my youngest son’s room a few months back and found he had hidden my last bottle of 15m Valor in his room.

(If you can’t get your hands on the original Valor, don’t worry, I’m sure Valor II can do the job!)

I put a drop on the back of neck and rubbed it in, a drop on my wrists and just for good measure (and maybe just because I like the smell so much), I put some under my nose.

Think I was done? No!

Because Breathe Again supports the respiratory system, I figured that sucker should be perfect for this experiment, so I took that roller ball and rolled it all over my throat and chest and under my jawline.

Then, as a fourth leg on this stop snoring battle, I put the diffuser on my side of the bed and dropped Lavender in it before turning off the lights and settling down for what I hoped would be a great night’s sleep for both me and my tired husband.

And after two nights of zero snoring, I have to say, I have a new bedtime routine.

My husband slept, my dogs slept and I slept.

So, if you’ve got a spouse who’s keeping you up at night, or, if you’re the one who’s keeping everyone else up, you might want to try this combination.
