Drinking and Tweeting: A Review of Brandi Glanville’s Book

I just finished reading Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star Brandi Glanville’s book, Drinking and Tweeting and other Brandi Blunders.

In short, the book was a fun read. It made me sad, it made me laugh and it made me cheer for Brandi’s new-found self-reliance and independence.

For those who watch the show, you are already familiar with Brandi’s unfiltered honesty. She’s a girl’s girl, one any woman would be happy to call a friend. She gives her side of the whole Eddie Cibrian, Leann Rimes affair and I can only surmise that some of the uglier aspects revealed about Rimes’ behavior post separation, means that Brandi kept the damning text-exchanges for her records.

Allegedly, Leann Rimes is a tad sue-happy, so I would be surprised if Brandi and her publisher didn’t legally cover their backsides. It would also be horrible for Rimes’ relationship with her step children (bonus children?), if she sued their mother. Afterall, the woman revealed just yesterday that she is suing her dentist after 3 years of shoddy work. Quite frankly, I’m not sure why you would continue to see the same doc for three straight years if you weren’t satisfied with his work, but maybe that’s just me.

And there’s that lawsuit against the special education teacher. Don’t even get me started on that one.

Other things that jumped out at me in the book was the fact Eddie and Brandi had “anger sex” while he was supposedly with Leann. That’s got to be a bitter pill for the former country music sensation to swallow. I also enjoyed Brandi’s revelation about her decision to have a vaginal rejuvination and charge it to Eddie’s credit card. Talk about revenge!

As someone who likes house porn (aka HGTV addiction), I checked out my go-to site for celebrity real estate information and looked up the house Eddie and Brandi lived in prior to their separation and divorce. You can check it out here on RealEstalker.

I think most people familiar with this story are #TeamBrandi. I could have bought the two people were just so in love and couldn’t stay away from each other so they cheated love story. Mark Sanford, the former governor of South Carolina comes to mind. He’s marrying his Argentinian love that he left his family and office for.

It’s not the falling in love with someone else that makes this story so horrible. It’s the behavior that followed. It’s the allegations in the book concerning the “in your face” antics of Rimes that make her a perceived villainess. As Brandi states in her book, the fault for breaking up their family lies with Cibrian, but it was Rimes’ behavior in the aftermath that makes her so unlikeable to many.

If you want a good gossip book to read this President’s weekend, do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of Brandi’s book.

You won’t be disappointed!
