About Me

Hi there!

For as long as I remember, I have always had an overactive imagination. Suspenseful circumstances were always intriguing.
I was always the person who came up with the “let’s pretend” scenarios. When I was growing up and someone would ask me what I wanted to be I would reply, “either an actress or a princess.”

Well, I grew up and realized there was a shortage of royal princes, so I decided to go to college and study acting. I received my BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and moved to Hollywood following graduation.

Los Angeles was an eye-opening experience for a sheltered girl like me. I always tell people it’s not the guys with the full arm tattoos and leather wardrobe you should worry about, it’s the guys in the $10,000 suits.

After living in LaLa Land for a while and not getting much work, I found I was reading a lot of romances. One fateful day, I said, “I can write better than this!” and that is when my journey to being a writer and author began.

I moved back home, joined Romance Writer’s of America and started going to writing conferences. I was very close to getting published with my dream publisher (at the time Pocket Books), then life happened. I met my future husband, fell in love, got married and moved to another state, Tennessee. I was so engrossed in my new life as a wife, I stopped writing.

Three children soon followed and they became my entire world – they still are! I spent my time being a mother and helping my husband pursue his career. As with many stay-at-home moms, I lost myself because I was helping everyone else be happy and fulfilled with their own lives.

A short while ago, a business acquaintance of my husband dropped dead of a heart attack on his way home from work. He was 43 and left behind a wife and 4 children. It was a huge wake-up call for me. I started exercising, eating healthier and promised myself it was time for me to pursue my own ambitions. I started writing again. I find great joy in writing frightening, gritty romantic suspense novels.

Life is too short not to pursue your dreams!

Did I mention I love the beach? I do! I love everything about the beach! It is my goal to move to Malibu, California and spend the rest of my life writing romantic suspense thrillers, riding Arabian horses and surfing the waves. I don’t know how to surf yet, but I am going to learn!
